Asian Games 2018, Indonesia: Abhishek Verma won Bronze in pistol event in Asian games.
Abhishek Verma the Indian shooter won the bronze medal in 10m air pistol event in Asian Games, Indonesia.
He finished behind the Indian shooter Saurabh Chaudhary and the Japanese shooter Tomoyuki Matsuda in a tough fight. Saurav Chaudhry won the gold medal while Tomoyuki won Silver medal.
29 years old Abhishek Verma is a son of District judge in Haryana, chose to study computer science.
Also, he prepared for UPSC exams But he took up shooting as a hobby during that time and started practice.
Abhishek takes shooting seriously in 2016, when he secured 8th position in the trial for the World University Shooting Championships in Poland.
Abhishek said that The scores which the top three shooters shot, he scored in practice.
So He told his parents that let’s give him shooting.
He won a silver medal in the civilian category in the 2016 nationals bronze medal in KSS Memorial Championships in 2017.
He competed in the ISSF World Cup in Germany under MQS category and shot a score of 585 points.
Abhishek takes training at the Eklavya Sports Shooting Academy in Gurgaon and his coach was Omendra Singh.
When Abhishek joined his academy, Omendra faced some challenges in adjusting Abhishek’s technique.
