Asian Games 2018, Indonesia: Ankita Raina won Bronze in tennis singles

Ankita Raina lost in a tough fight against Zhang Shuai of China.

nd she could not make a place in the final at the Asian Games in Tennis in singles.

Ankita Raina secured a Bronze medal for India and became only the 2nd female tennis player from India to win a medal in singles in Asian Games.

Sania Mirza is the first female tennis player to won medal in Asian games.

She won a silver medal in Doha in Asian games 2006.
Again won a bronze medal in Asian games 2010.

Ankita lost the match against Zhang Shuai of China by 4-6, 7-6 points in the semifinal of the singles.

The 25-year girl from Ahmedabad defeated Eudice Wong Chong of Hong Kong in by 6-4, 6-1 points in the quarterfinal of singles.

Ankita lost against a most experienced Chinese player in the semi-final.

In men’s Tennis Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan won the Doubles semifinals.
They won by 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 points against Uesegi and Shimabukuro of Japan and assured a medal.
