Asian Games 2018: Saurav Ghosal settles for a bronze medal in squash for India

India’s squash star Saurav Ghosal went home with a bronze medal after going down in the semi-finals at Asian Games 2018 here on Saturday (25 August).

Having won the first 2 sets, Saurav Ghosal let the advantage slip away and lost to Hong Kong China’s Chung Ming Au and eventually lost 2-3.

Saurav Ghosal seeded no1 in this category, India’s challenge in squash comes to an end.

This is India’s 3rd bronze medal in squash game.

After compatriots, Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Joshna Chinappa also settled for a bronze medal for India.

Top seed Saurav Ghosal lost to 12-10 13-11 6-11 6-11 6-11 in the men’s singles squash semifinals. Saurav Ghosal had won a silver medal in the men’s singles squash in the 2014 Asian Games.
