Jasprit Bumrah surpassed Dileep Doshi to take most wickets for India in his debut year in international Test cricket.
Jasprit claimed his 3rd five-wicket haul to wrap up Australia’s first innings on 151 on Boxing Day Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday.
Bumrah picked the wickets of Marcus, Shaun Marsh, Travis Head, Tim Paine, Nathan Lyon and Hazlewood to become the 1st Asian bowler to take five-wicket hauls in Australia.
With 45 wickets Now Bumrah also surpassed Dileep Doshi to pick most wickets for India in his debut year in Test cricket.
Dileep Doshi claimed 40 wickets in his debut Test year in 1979, which was a record till jasprit broke it in 2018 in this match.
Jasprit is now India’s leading wicket-taker bowler in Tests in 2018.
Australia were all out for 151, trailing by 292 runs as India scores 443/7 runs in first inning.
