Wrestling World Championship 2018: Pooja Dhanda wins bronze medal in 57kg category

Pooja became the fourth Indian woman grappler to win a medal at the Wrestling World Championship.
She won a bronze medal with a stunning 10-7 win over the Grace Jacob Bullen, in Budapest on Thursday in wresling world championship 2018.

Only three female wrestler of india have won bronze medals at wrestling world championship before Pooja’s bronze medal victory.

Alka Tomar won bronze medal in 2006, Geeta phogat won bronze in 2012 and Babita Phogat won in 2012 for India before Pooja’s memorable medal victory.

Ritu phogat had a chance to emulate her sister Geeta and Babtia phogat to win a Worlds medal but she lost the 50kg bronze play-off 5-10 to Ukraine’s Oksana Livach.

Sakshi Malik, the Rio olympic medalist yet again failed to reach the medal round at a big-ticket event, losing the repechage round 2-3 to Marianna Sastin aof Hungry.

The Greco Roman competition began today but none of the four wrestlers could win a match world wrestling. Vijay (55kg), Gaurav Shar,a (63kg), Kuldeep Malik (72kg) and Harpreet Singh (82kg) all crashed out after losing their Qualification rounds in this world wrestling.
