World Cup 2019: Caribbean Bowlers Pave the Way for Thumping Win Against Pakistan
West Indies started their ICC World Cup 2019 campaign in style by defeating Pakistan at Trent Bridge stadium.
Caribbean Captain Jason Holder after winning toss put Pakistan to bat first.
West Indies bowlers bundled out Pakistan for 105 runs in just 21.4 overs. This is their second-lowest total in World Cup history.
Thomas took 4 wickets at the cost of 27 runs in 5.4 overs and is selected as the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
On the other hand, Jason Holder took 3 wickets while Russel took 2 wickets.
In reply, West Indies achieved the target in 13.4 overs with Chris Gayle (50) top-scoring for them.
Pakistan next takes on hosts England on June 3 whereas West Indies will face Australia on June 6.
